The South Jersey Rhythm Section Collective offers a wide variety of ensemble musical experiences. We offer seasonal (fall, winter, and summer) Jazz Ensembles, Funk Ensembles, a Youth Percussion Ensemble, a Brazilian Percussion Ensemble, an Afro-Cuban Percussion Ensemble, and a West African Drum Ensemble. Placement is made by audition and / or teacher recommendation. Each ensemble meets weekly for 10 weeks in one hour and a half rehearsals. At the end of the semester, one or two public performances are scheduled. The entire faculty at SJRSC feels strongly that ensemble experience is a critical part of every musician's growth. Different SJRSC faculty are occasionally brought in to coach the group and provide their unique perspective and musical advice
