(news)
1st- The biggest news is that
I am currently completing the 2nd DrumSquared CD with my partner drummer
Joe Mullen. This CD, like the debut DrumSquared CD, will feature non-stop
drumset compositions and tons of high-flying drum solos. Tentative
release date is Summer 2002. Go to the DrumSquared page on this site
to learn more.
2nd- The "Microcosmos"
debut Robert Brosh jazz CD is out and available online on this site,
and at Tower records, Sound of Market (Philadelphia), and Borders
books and music. It's essentially a jazz CD with a lot of different
musical influences. The great players on it are among the best in
Philadelphia including Ron Thomas, Bob Meashey, JD Walter, Chris Farr
and many others. I wrote some very different music and we gave six
jazz standards some interesting musical treatments. It was officially
released this past April of 2001.
3rd- I have been very busy playing
at various jazz venues in and around the Philadelphia area including
Chris' Jazz cafe, Sullivan's in King of Prussia and many Borders Books
and Music locations. The "Loose Cannon Funky New Orleans Band"
is also getting busy with dates around Philadelphia, South Jersey
and Delaware.
4th-I have been teaching, as
usual, many private lessons and ensembles at the University of the
Arts in Philadelphia and at my studio The Robert Brosh Drum Studio
and The South Jersey Rhythm Section Collective. Call at (856)234-7052
or visit the web site for information about lessons and ensemble performance
opportunities.
